Rooted in Flavour, discover the concept behind
Under the theme “À Raiz do Sabor” (To the Root of Flavour), this year our creative Chefs will take you on a journey through the origins, the most authentic produce and traditions of the Algarve’s rich gastronomic heritage.
This year’s challenge will be the creation of inspirational menus according to the roots of the flavour and the importance of authentic products, fundamentally elaborated with Algarvian products and respecting the heritage and regional gastronomic richness.
In the restaurants of the 14 participating hotels, gastronomy enthusiasts can enjoy a luxurious gourmet experience for a week with a signature menu specially created for this purpose, valued at 30€, of which 1€ reverts for a local social cause.
May 11th – À raiz do sabor ACW 2019
The Algarve Chefs Week presentation event will take place on May 11th at “Zona Ribeirinha” in Portimão, where it will be possible, for a symbolic value, to taste several delicacies prepared by the 14 Chefs, unveiling part of what can be discovered in each of the participating restaurants, as well as attending several activities related to the theme “À Raiz do Sabor”.
